2000, Madrid Paintings, Studio
These paintings were named after the small town of Madrid, New Mexico, where they were painted.
I have always liked how there was a Madrid in the US as there is also a Sierra Nevada Mountains in Spain.
There were four or five distinct steps in making these paintings.
I tried to distill everything I'd done to that point in my work.
They were taken to NY and finished in 2003, later taken back to New Mexico, "Madrid,Western Sky #1", traveled again back to NYC, and was shown at Salander and O'Reilly Gallery in September 2004.

Extra Slide Show
When ever I deliver a Slide Talk I want to add some of this extra content.
I have not, as it seems to break the continuity of a formal reading. I'll add it here by itself. The link to the formal version is to the right, or here.
